BLOG DE URS Acabamos de regresar de Japón el miércoles y fuimos directamente a la radio el jueves. Japón en realidad fue increíble .
Hemos estado de gira durante todo el año, que comenzó en enero con los ensayos y han pasado 134 shows en 36 países, situados en seis continentes y sólo he pasado dos semanas en casa este año en total. Después de nuestro último show en la ciudad de Guatemala nos fuimos directamente a la promoción para el álbum Greatest Hits y eso es lo que hemos estado haciendo desde entonces.
Tengo que decir que me gustó mucho este año, nos lo pasamos muy bien. El álbum 'Wicked Game' ha sido muy bien recibido. Lo más destacado para mí era la parte americana de la gira de este año. Pasamos 3 meses allí. Me las arreglé para ver a Estados Unidos de una manera diferente, no sé por qué es así, he estado en América mucho en los últimos diez años. A veces alquilamos un coche y fuimos de una ciudad a otra en vez de ir con la compañia. En algunos días de descanso, alquilé una moto y sólo tenía un montón de diversión! Me encanta la Harley Davidson's-Tengo una colección completa en lo que respecta a las motocicletas.
Cuando se trata de los fans fue memorables, en la Ciudad de México, recuerdo que pensé "esto es tan alto!", Cuando en realidad se quiere hablar en medio de las canciones que les gritan a usted básicamente! Fue muy divertido.
Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecer a todas las personas en todo el mundo por escucharnos y apoyarnos y hacer este viaje posible. Es tiempo difícil para los músicos, incluso grandes artistas han tenido que cancelar giras. Hemos tenido la gira más exitosa de la historia, incluso en estos tiempos difíciles, así que me gustaría dar las gracias a todos por venir a los shows y apoyarnos. Definitivamente vamos a seguir con mucho entusiasmo y mucha devoción.
Tenemos a este álbum 'Greatest Hits' saliendo y estamos muy orgullosos de ello.
El álbum Greatest Hits es una línea en nuestra carrera. Queremos seguir adelante con algo diferente, pero no es muy diferente, por lo que nadie tiene que tener miedo de que no va a ser más Il Divo .
Próximamente, vamos a estar de gira en Europa y Reino Unido, con Katherine Jenkins a través de marzo y abril, que todos estamos esperando. www.ildivo.com/uk/news/blog-urs We’ve just got back from Japan on Wednesday and went straight into the radio on Thursday. Japan was amazing actually. We have been on tour for the whole year, we started in January with the rehearsals and have played 134 shows in 36 countries, spanning 6 continents and I’ve only spent two weeks at home this year in total. After our last show in Guatemala City we went straight into promo for the Greatest Hits album and that’s what we’ve been doing since.
I must say that I enjoyed this year very much, we had a great time. The album ‘Wicked Game’ has been very well received. The highlight for me was the American leg of the tour this year. We spent 3 months there. I managed to see America in a different way, I don’t know why that is, I’ve been to America a lot in the past ten years. Sometimes I rented a car and drove from one city to the next instead of just going with the crew. On some days off, I rented a motorcycle and just had a lot of fun! I love Harley Davidson’s- I’ve got a whole collection when it comes to motorcycles.
When it comes to memorable fans, in Mexico City, I remember thinking “this is so loud!”; when you actually want to talk in-between the songs they scream at you basically! It was quite funny.
I would like to take this chance to thank everybody throughout the whole world for listening to us and supporting us and making this tour possible. It s a hard time for musicians, even big artists are having to cancel tours. We’ve had the most successful tour ever, even in these difficult times, so I would like to thank everyone for coming to the shows and supporting us. We’re definitely going to carry on with a lot of enthusiasm and lot of devotion. We’ve got this ‘Greatest Hits’ album coming out and we’re very proud of that.
The Greatest Hits album is a line in our career. We want to move on with something different, but not too different, so no-one needs to be scared that it’s not going to be Il Divo anymore.
Coming up, we are going to be touring in Europe & UK, with Katherine Jenkins across March and April which we're all looking forward to.
